Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Matt is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PrairieFire and husband to the Operations Manager, Lisa Meline.
Matt founded PrairieFire in 2019 on the belief that financial planning and unbiased advice can only come from an independent, conflict-free team. For the last 21 years Matt has been striving to be a trusted resource, coach and partner to his clients and friends. Delivering on the promise to proactively defend his client’s interests is his daily aspiration.
During a period of transition in his life, Matt completed a unique program aimed at rediscovering core values. Transitioning the planning focus onto a client’s life, not just their money, is how he aspires to improve both returns on investments and returns on “life.” Building the components to help families prepare for children leaving the nest, building an exciting empty nest lifestyle along with a second half of life financial plan is where PFW does its best work.
Matt loves the community of Des Moines. After relocating here in his high school years from Omaha he graduated from Lincoln High School on Des Moines’ south side. Following graduation from the University of Northern Iowa he traversed the Midwest primarily as a senior manager for various banking organizations. He decided to leap from the safety of that career and became a full time financial planner in the mid 1990’s.
Matt, and his wife Lisa, have raised four children that are now living their dream lives in Chicago, Denver, graduate school in Rhode Island and graduate school in Ames, Iowa. Yes, they put four kids through college, so they speak from experience (not all of it good!)
Lisa is the Operations Manager of PrairieFire and wife of the Founder and CEO, Matt Meline.
Lisa grew up in Northeast Iowa on a dairy farm. She attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines, Iowa. After receiving her Associates Degree in business, she worked for 20 years in the investment business as a Registered Sales Associate. She started at Piper Jaffray & Hopwood and then moved on to Wells Fargo Private Client Services.
It was while Lisa was at Wells Fargo that she met Matt. After they were married in 2008, Lisa decided to focus her attention on their combined family. When Matt and Lisa started PrairieFire in 2019, it was a clear choice to have Lisa work closely with Matt as the Operations Manager.
Lisa and Matt live in Norwalk, Iowa. Both enjoy golfing, reading, and spending time with their four children and fur baby, Shae.

Chief Investment Officer, Sanctuary Wealth
Jeff serves as the Chief Investment Officer for Sanctuary Wealth.
With more than 20 years of investment management experience, Jeff is the Founder & CEO of KKM Financial, a boutique registered investment advisory firm he launched in Chicago in 2012. That same year, Jeff garnered acknowledgement from CNBC for calling that the 10-year note would fall to historic lows under the 1.5% level.
Jeff’s storied career began at the Cboe. There, he learned about equity options working with the founders of Mercury Trading Jon & Pete Najarian. He then joined Ritchie Capital Markets Group to work in the bond option with founder Joe Ritchie, the creator of the theoretical value of a Bond option, and his son Thane Ritchie. In addition to learning from a team of veteran traders in all of the various fixed income pits located on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), Jeff was introduced to the volatility associated with fixed income, which created the opportunity for him to gravitate towards the bond futures pits. He subsequently became a team member and an assistant broker in the 30-Year Futures pit with the specialist group, JLS Group. Then, in 1999, Jeff decided to launch a floor operation of his own in the 30-Year Bond Future pit. After the benchmark was switched from the 30-Year Bond to the 10-Year Note in the early 2000s, he transitioned into the 10-Year Note pit and became one of the larger market makers there.
Understanding of the U.S. Treasury Curve has proven applicable across various futures markets and has allowed Jeff to distinguish himself from his peers. Today Jeff is a well-established CNBC Contributor sharing his insights regularly on the markets. In addition, he is regularly often featured by the media and speaks at a variety of conferences globally.
Jeff is a graduate from the Mendoza College of Business at The University of Notre Dame where he was a four-year football scholarship student-athlete playing under Lou Holtz.
